FVTU Celebrates the Holiday Season
Last night Kalispell Brewing Co. hosted our annual Christmas party. A good time was had by all, as the old saying goes.
The festivities were punctuated with lots of good food, fun, and plenty of raffle prizes.
About fifty FVTU members and friends showed up. Many were there for the first time. FVTU provided free food and punch for everyone. In addition to the Bucket Raffle, we had our annual fly swap and a variety of fly tying contests. These were strictly for fun with games like two tiers handcuffed together trying to tie a fly using only their free hand and working together; a kids only event; and tying blindfolded (no one stuck themselves in case you were wondering).
The Bucket Raffle is always popular and this year featured around ninety prizes including many high end products from makers such as Buck’s Bag, Simms, fishpond, Montana Fly Company, and more. A huge thank you to our local fly shops and sporting goods stores who pitched in with donations and deep discounts to make this all possible.
