The Flathead Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited strongly supports Alternative B and the continuation of netting and removal of non-native lake trout from Swan Lake for at least the next five years. As you know, it will take a number of years to see a positive response in native bull trout populations in the Swan.

In addition, the science you have gathered to date as well as the science that will be gathered as a result of continuation of this project will benefit native fish management across the west.

Your continuing efforts to conserve and restore native bull trout and westslope cutthroat populations in the Swan drainage are much appreciated, Leo. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of assistance with this project.

Sincerely,

Chris Schustrom
