You have found the web home of Flathead Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Our mission is the protection, and restoration of native and other coldwater fish in Northwest Montana. We will try to see that you have the information you need to aid in that mission and we hope that FVTU will be one of your top priorities in the coming months. Check in here once in a while and we’ll try to let you know about what’s going on with the Flathead and Northwest Montana fisheries.

Our regular meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, Oct. through April . Meeting times and locations will be posted here, or give us a call to find out where we are meeting. Extravagant door prizes will be awarded at our meetings. We hope to see you there.

EVENTS

Next Monthly Meeting: 6:30 pm Tuesday April 16 at Sacred Waters Brewing Company, 3250 U.S. Hwy 2 E, Kalispell, MT.

The April speaker will be our own, Wade Fredenberg, former USFWS Bull Trout Coordinator, talking about “Saving Bull Trout! Why Should We Bother?” Wade will present some interesting information and entertaining slides about the importance of Bull Trout to our Flathead Valley culture and heritage. Learn why bull trout are important to Montana and what is being done to insure that they will continue to thrive into the future for our kids and grandkids. We hope to see you there.

FVTU Annual Fundraiser Banquet: Don’t forget that our amazing Annual Banquet is coming up fast. We will gather at Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish on May 18. Stay tuned to this website for more details. Also, don’t forget to pick up your raffle tickets for a chance to win a 14-ft NRS Stillwater raft with fishing frame and oars. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20 and can be obtained at any of our functions or from board members. Mark you calendar today!
